Communal Reverie is a reflection of an important current within the spirit of the times. This is a turn toward what Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steininger have called a “post-personal culture,” and what cultural philosopher Jean Gebser described as the “supersession of the ego.” It is one of many emerging practice modalities aiming to reach beyond the modern emphasis on individuality toward sources of collective wisdom. -
